My Story in a Snap
- Recardo Thompson, from St Catherine, Jamaica, is the founder and host of the "A.T.O." (Amidst the Odds) audio and video podcast. With a background in mental health, he holds a credential from Medix College of Healthcare, specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy, suicide and self-harm prevention, and counselling psychology. Initially earning an Associate of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Portmore University College in Jamaica, Recardo's journey led him to Canada in 2015, where he discovered his passion for religion and psychology, influenced by personal experiences with clinical depression and spiritual trauma.
- Recardo is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Theology at Burman University in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada, with plans to pursue dual master's degrees in divinity and clinical psychology at Providence Theological Seminary. He serves as the Mental Health, Trauma, and Crisis Intervention Coordinator for Heritage Family Services in central Alberta. Married to Sarah Hackett-Thompson, the couple welcomed their daughter, Isabella Joy Thompson, into the world. With a significant following of around 10 million on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok), primarily consisting of family and friends, Recardo shares his journey and insights with a wide audience.
